    The Rotary Club and schoolchildren from Stonebridge Primary School planted purple crocus bulbs across Stonebridge to raise awareness of polio.

    Cllr. Zaffar Van Kalwala has helped save Stonebridge Boxing Club (SBC) which was on the verge of closing down due to financial problems.

    The club, which was facing an uncertain future, will stay open thanks to Cllr. Zaffar Van Kalwala who led the campaign along with SBC’s Aamir Ali and Sharon Bennet to keep the club open.

    A Youth football team set-up by local parents to keep youngsters away from gun and knife crime has gone onto win the Hayes & District Cup.
